Faucet holes, drains and plumbing for stone sinks
Coordinate faucet holes, drain openings, wall plumbing and support zones before a custom marble or travertine sink is carved.
Choose the faucet type before finalizing the stone
A deck-mounted faucet needs stone holes and sufficient flat area for its base, handles and fastening hardware. A wall-mounted faucet usually needs no deck hole, but it requires accurate rough-in height and spout reach. Select or dimension the intended fitting before confirming fabrication.
Describe holes with numbers, not product labels
“Widespread,” “centerset” and “single hole” can still hide model-specific differences. Record the number of holes, each hole diameter and the center-to-center spacing. Locate the group from named rear and side edges. If the faucet has a large base plate, include its footprint so it does not collide with the backsplash, bowl cutout or wall.
Set wall-mounted spout reach from finished surfaces
Measure from the completed wall face, including tile or plaster, to the intended water landing point. Coordinate the sink’s rear edge, inner bowl edge and bowl center. A spout that is too short can discharge onto the deck; one that reaches too far can reduce comfortable hand space or splash near the front.
Locate the drain from two fixed edges
Record the drain opening diameter and its centerline from the rear and one side edge. “Centered” is only clear when you state whether it means centered in the external stone, the internal bowl or a furniture opening. Rear-biased drains may preserve visible bowl area or trap clearance, but they must align with the actual plumbing plan.
Keep supports and plumbing from competing
On a wall-mounted sink, bracket arms, underside channels, waste fittings and supply lines can occupy the same zone. Overlay the bracket drawing and plumbing centers before the stone channels are prepared. Do not assume a generic support spacing.
Remember what the stone order excludes
Unless the current Etsy listing says otherwise, faucets, drains, siphons, brackets and furniture are not included. MarbleSinkCo sinks are supplied without an overflow hole. Confirm that the chosen non-overflow drain and trap system is suitable for the local plumbing rules and project conditions.

Frequently asked questions
Clear answers before you order
How many faucet holes can I request?
Depending on the product and project, the written order may specify zero, one, two or three holes. Confirm diameter, spacing and centerlines before fabrication.
Do MarbleSinkCo sinks include an overflow?
MarbleSinkCo sink specifications state that the stone sink is supplied without an overflow hole. Select compatible local drain fittings accordingly.
Are faucets and drains included?
Not unless the current Etsy listing explicitly states that they are included. The stone piece and local fittings should be coordinated before ordering.
