Marble sink dimensions and bowl-size guide
Understand which marble sink measurements control fit, usability, faucet placement, support and installation coordination.
Separate the object from the bowl
External length × width × height describes the complete stone volume that must fit the room, furniture or wall. Internal bowl length × width × depth describes the usable washing area. Both sets belong in the same order brief. A sink can have a generous external width but a smaller bowl because of a thick apron, wide deck or backsplash.
Read every dimension from named faces
Label front, rear, left and right on a simple plan. Measure faucet and drain centerlines from fixed finished edges. Avoid instructions such as “slightly left” or “centered on the vanity” unless the vanity and bowl share the exact same centerline. A dimensioned sketch is more reliable than a marked-up perspective photo.
Allow space for the deck and fittings
The rear deck must accommodate the faucet base or leave clearance below a wall-mounted spout. Multi-hole faucets require verified center-to-center spacing. If a backsplash is part of the stone, record its height and thickness and confirm whether holes pass through the deck or backsplash.
Coordinate mounting height as a complete assembly
The final rim height depends on installation type. For a vessel sink, include furniture and countertop heights. For a wall-mounted sink, set top-of-sink elevation with the designer or installer and coordinate concealed supports, waste position and supply lines. Follow local accessibility and building requirements where they apply.
Check plumbing within the stone geometry
Confirm drain diameter, outlet position and available trap space. MarbleSinkCo sinks are supplied without an overflow hole. Drains, siphons and faucets are not included unless the current listing explicitly says otherwise, so the local fittings must be checked against the specified stone openings.
Plan tolerance and site conditions
Walls and furniture may be out of square, and finished dimensions can differ from early construction drawings. Measure after critical finishes when possible. If the sink fits between walls, define practical installation clearance with the local installer rather than ordering to an unverified nominal gap.

Frequently asked questions
Clear answers before you order
Are listing dimensions the bowl dimensions?
Not necessarily. External dimensions describe the complete stone piece; usable internal bowl dimensions must be confirmed separately when they are important to the project.
Can MarbleSinkCo make a custom size?
Many pieces are made to order with project-specific options. Ask through the current Etsy listing and provide one written specification for confirmation.
Which unit should I use?
Use the unit familiar to your project team, but record both centimetres and inches in the final brief to reduce conversion errors.
